Radial Wireless Fence Attenuation When installing your Havahart Wireless fencing system, it’s important to keep in mind the potential obstacles that may obstruct your desired fencing boundaries.  This obstruction occurs when there is an interference with the signal strength sent out by your wireless fence system.  The signal is said to “attenuate.”  While most objects have just minimal effect on the fence’s boundaries, there are some that will cause the boundary lines to be altered.

Custom Wireless Fence Attenuation

Here are a few obstacles that you should look out for when setting up your system:

  • Microwaves
  • Mirrors
  • Power meters
  • Downspouts
  • Air Conditioners
  • Aluminum Siding
  • Heavily Wooded Areas
  • Extensive Landscaping
  • The denser the object, the more severe the shaping effect will be on your fence.  It is important to keep these potential obstacles in mind to reduce attenuation.  Interested in learning more about attenuation?  Check out our video below!
